Apollo Investment Corporation, a Maryland corporation organized on February 2, 2004, is a closed-end, non-diversified management investment company that has filed an election to be treated as a business development company ("BDC") under the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Founded in 1990, Apollo is a recognized leader in private equity investing, having invested more than $14 billion since its founding. Since its inception, Apollo has raised more than $25 billion in capital, primarily from institutional investors.
